Mr. Ramesh Loganathan, VP, Products and Managing Director, Progress Software-India

In general, we expect some measures that will stimulate growth and investments. This will help accelerate the recovery from any effects our economy faced due to the global slowdown. While Infrastructure is an area of issue where the plans seem to have lost some momentum in last few years that must be revived, this we think is essential for the overall growth of all sectors, including IT.
Focusing on our sector, we also expect for incentives to promote growth and investment into the IT sector specifically including extending the STPI scheme. We would need clarification on the FBT and hope for a more favorable tax regime for such business expenses.

Mr. Ramesh Loganathan
VP, Products and Managing Director
