The March quarter for the Paper Industry is expected to see better growth as recovery picks-up. The coming financial year should thus witness robust growth in earnings. There could be an increase in the excise duty on Paper & Paper Board. Further the date of levy of GST is expected to get confirmed in the Budget 2010. We further expect imported paper to be exempted from CVD. As the government’s thrust on education remains a focus point even in the Union Budget 2010, it will definitely impact the demand for various industrial papers like writing & printing paper.
