Mohit Agarwal, Uttarakhand

Of late, India has seen the worst of droughts and floods. Farmersshould, therefore, be given some special incentives. Subsidy onfertilizers, seeds and agricultural equipments should not bewithdrawn.Expenditure on flagship schemes like MG-NREGA, Mid day meal, etc.should be increased. Rising rate of fiscal deficit should not beallowed to become an impediment while allocating funds for theseschemes. It is well established fact that poverty and lack ofemployment opportunities cause social unrest and are the root causesof problems like naxalism. Forthcoming budget must ensure employmentfor all so that one can envision an equal society, free of poverty, full of peace.
