1. Strong Reason for reintroduction for standard deduction for salaried class
For the salaried class the candle is burning from both sides ie the income tax deduction at source from salary and the incidence of sales tax and service tax while spending the salary. Hence the standard deduction should be brought back to give respite to this segment of tax payers.
2. Limit on 80 C deduction to be enchanced to Rs 1,50000/= as many of the tax payers easily cross the limit of Rs 1.00 lakh in terms of their contribution to PF ,LIC premia payment, principal repayment on Housing Loan, and School fees on children education etc.
3.why service tax on Interest paid on credit card payments?
The card holders are already squeezed by the credit card companies in terms of hefty interest ranging from 36% to 45%n per annum and service tax on the above interest is a nasty blow to the card holders who is already suffering servicing the debt .
