DISINVESTMENT POLICY

The Present Union Government as said early they are going to dilute their stake in Public Sector Undertakings in forthcoming months through IPO and other means.  While diluting the stake the government may allocate certain percentage of shares to Central government employees as well as State government employees with a moderate price.  This may help the interested employees those who are willing to invest in PSUs. The amount of premium may be detected from their salary in  equated installments.  Since the employees are very conservative in their investment they won't sell the shares immediately to book the profit.

DIVIDEND YIELD OF PSUs

The Central Government has listed many Public Sector Undertakings in Stock market in recent years due to new economic policies.  It is no doubt that most of the PSUs are running with decent profit and good corporate governance.  But the dividend policies of the PSUs are poor.  The average dividend yield of PSUs is very low it's only around 2 % to 3 %.  When compare to other multinational companies their dividend yield works around 5 % to 6%.  Why the PSUs are having a stringent policy in declaring the dividend.  The Union Government should frame some guidelines in the current year budget to instruct PSUs to declare decent dividend and periodical Bonus shares to their share holders.

REVOKE BAN ORDER ON EMPLOYMENT

The present union government has passed orders to ban recruitments in central government during its last spell of regime.  Now the government in its second spell it doesn't revoke the ban order on employment.  During the recession which starts from the beginning of the year 2008, the decently employed youths are axed by the Private companies and thrown out of the job.  Around eight lakh   youths have lost their jobs during this period.   If this situation is continued, the frustrated youths may join hands with the terrorist outfits for their livelihood.      So I would like to request the union government to revoke the ban order on employment in central government so as to enable the thousands of youths to enter into government departments.

TAX REBATE FOR MARRIAGE EXPENSES

The Indian society is the mixture of different cultural and linguistic in nature.  In this cultural society the marriage system is unique in the world.  Even after so many reforms are taken by the Government the evil dowry system is prevails and the system is growing day by day.  Several movements are taken up by unique social leaders in different parts of our country to eradicate the dowry system from the country.  But the fact is that the system is still alive.    In this setup the recent development is that, the parents/family of the female (Bride) have been asked or instructed to bare the entire marriage expenses by the boy's (Bridegroom) parents/family.  Apart from many sovereigns of gold they have to bare the marriage expenses is "like adding the fuel to the burning fire".  In this connection I would like to request the Finance Minister to announce tax rebate up to 5 lakhs for the marriage expenses of girl individuals or to their parents may given the benefit of rebate.  If it is announced in the forthcoming budget, the entire women section of the country will be thankful to the government.
